Dales Bike Bus Services

A bike-carrying facility (up to 3 bicycles per journey) is available on the Malham Tarn Shuttle service. This operates on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from Easter weekend until the end of October, and also during Autumn Half-Term weekends. It provides a mainly hourly service between Malham, Malham Tarn and Settle, with links at the end of the day to/from Ilkley and Skipton. A maximum of 3 mountain bikes can be carried in the rear of the bus and these will be accommodated wherever possible.

A bike-carrying facility (up to 2 bicycles per journey) is available on the Ripon Roweller service. This operates on Mondays to Saturdays throughout the year, linking Ripon with many surrounding towns and villages. On Summer Sundays and Bank Holidays it provides links to Fountains Abbey.

The bike-carrying facility on the Bowland Transit service will not be available from 31st March 2008 onwards, however it is hoped to be able to reinstate this facility on the B1 (Settle to Slaidburn) section of the route shortly.

Dales Bike Bus service 805 in Wharfedale no longer operates, due to funding cutbacks by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority. Alternative buses on the same route, but without bike-carrying facility, are provided on service 874.
