Sunday 25th May 2008 Simon's Seat via Dalehead A ramble up to the summit landmark crags that dominate Mid-Wharfedale. Start: The Strid: 10.45 Finish: Bolton Abbey: Approx. 16.15 Distance / Grading: 8 to 9 miles / Moderate to strenuous Catch bus 884 from Skipton Bus Station (10.25) or bus 874 from Ilkley Bus Station (10.15) to The Strid. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
For these walks you should wear strong footwear (boots or stout shoes) and bring rainwear, a windproof jacket and a sweater, and for the full day walks a packed lunch. Always carry some water (at least a half litre bottle), preferably in a rucksack or shoulder bag.
Guides reserve the right to vary or cancel the walks according to weather conditions and the needs of the party, and whilst every care will be taken, neither the YDS nor the YDPTUG can accept any responsibility for any injury, loss or damage. Participants remain responsible for their own safety during the walks and events.
Groups of more than six people should ring 01729 825600 no later than the Wednesday morning before the walk to leave a contact details so we can ensure there is room on the walk.
