Passenger trains have now returned to Wensleydale after nearly half a century.
Trains run from Leeming Bar, close to the A1 at Bedale, and follow the scenic route to Bedale, Leyburn and Redmire in Wensleydale.
Most services are operated by the Wensleydale Railway’s heritage diesel railcar, with excellent views from all seats.

DalesBus service 820 provides a connection from Leyburn Station to Middleham, Jervaulx Abbey and Reeth on Summer Sundays and Bank Holidays from 2nd May 2010.
Direct trains serve Northallerton from York, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Darlington.
The bus stop for Leeming Bar and Wensleydale Railway is opposite Northallerton Station, on Dales & District service 73. Leeming Bar Station is 2 minutes walk from the bus stop at White Rose Hotel.
