Brimham Explorer Bus 825 RIPON - FOUNTAINS ABBEY - BRIMHAM ROCKS - HARROGATE Runs on Summer Sundays & Bank Holidays This service has not yet started for the 2019 season.
The new Brimham Explorer bus 825 runs direct from Harrogate and Ripon to Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal World Heritage Site (National Trust), and the fantastic wind-carved crags of Brimham Rocks – a paradise for children (free entry; small visitor centre and refreshments available).
It's a pleasant walk of around four miles back to Ripon City Centre from Fountains Abbey - click here for more information. You can also catch Brimham Explorer bus 825 to Brimham Rocks, and walk back to Fountains Abbey on the "In the Footsteps of Monks" walking route (7.5 miles).

Buy a Southern Dales Explorer ticket from the bus driver for a day’s travel any Sunday or Bank Holiday on any Harrogate Bus Company bus in the Harrogate Plus zone and on the Brimham Explorer bus. Adult Southern Dales Explorer Ticket: £9 Family Southern Dales Explorer Ticket: £15 (for up to 2 adults and 3 children)
If you’re a student or ENCTS elderly/disabled bus pass/railcard holder you can travel throughout the DalesBus network, including Brimham Explorer bus 825, for a day for £7.50 with a Dales Privilege Rover,also valid on service 1 between Knaresborough and Harrogate, and on service 36 between Leeds, Harrogate and Ripon. Everyone else can buy a Dales Freedom Rover for travel on the same services for £12. Up to two children travel free with each Dales Rover!
Concessionary bus passes for the elderly and disabled are not valid for free travel on Brimham Explorer bus 825.
Single and day return fares are also available. Under 19s travel for £1 per journey (teenagers need ID)
