Dales Jumper
The Little White Bus Dales Jumper minibus links Wensleydale and Swaledale, jumping over the hills to connect the two dales every Friday until 25th September 2026.
Passengers have three options -
The journey travels from Wensleydale over to Keld using the famous Buttertubs Pass and up Stonesdale Lane to Tan Hill and down through Arkengarthdale to get to Reeth in Swaledale.
Prebooked tickets get priority for this service - click here for booking details. If there are seats left on the day these can be bought on the bus. There are 16 seats on the bus.
Due to roadworks on the Buttertubs Pass, the Dales Jumper bus will take a temporary route on Friday 14 August - click here for details.
Please note that special fares apply on the Dales Jumper - the £3 single fare cap does not apply (except for Arkengarthdale local journeys) and concessionary bus passes are not valid. Return fare between the the two dales is £13 - single fare £7.50 (£1 for children).

Passengers have three options -
- Wensleydale - Swaledale Leaving Hawes Board Inn at 0900 and arriving at Reeth for 1030. The return journey is at 1445 from Reeth Bus Shelter.
- Swaledale - Wensleydale From Reeth Bus Shelter at 1045 to Hawes, arriving at 1215, giving you 45min in Hawes, before returning from Hawes Board Inn at 1300.
- Arkengarthdale local journeys Local pick-up points are Whaw village, CB Yard, CB Inn and Langthwaite.
