A revised timetable and revised fares will be introduced on Rotala Preston Bus services 280 and X80 between Preston, Clitheroe and Skipton from Sunday 3rd June 2018.
There are minor changes on Mondays to Fridays, on Saturdays the service is improved to run regularly every hour throughout the day, but on Sundays and Bank Holidays the service is reduced with only two return journeys running through to Skipton. The service will still provide connections from Preston and Clitheroe to the Sunday and Bank Holiday DalesBus network as follows: - the 1000 departure from Preston arrives in Clitheroe at 1043, in good time to catch the 1115 Bowland Explorer bus to Slaidburn, Stocks Reservoir and Ingleton. The return bus from Ingleton arrives in Clitheroe at 1611, to catch the 1723 service 280 bus back to Preston. - the 1000 departure from Preston (1047 from Clitheroe) arrives in Skipton at 1120 connecting with the Witch Way bus to Grassington at 1125, with onward connection to Kettlewell and Buckden. The return bus from Grassington arrives in Skipton at 1619, to catch the 1650 service X80 bus back to Clitheroe and Preston. Western Dales Explorer tickets are valid from Preston through to Clitheroe, Skipton, Slaidburn, Malham and Ingleton on Sundays and Bank Holidays for £9 (adult), £15 (family), and railcard/ bus pass holders and students can buy a Privilege Dales Rover for £7.50.
