A pre-booked charter train for leisure journeys will operate between Skipton, Settle and Appleby from Monday to Saturday between 20th July and 12th September 2020.
Northern Train's service between Leeds, Skipton and Carlisle is currently running an emergency timetable for essential journeys only - this new facility is a completely separate service operated by Rail Charter Services.
Day return tickets from £29 will offer passengers the option to book a short or long day out from Skipton, Settle or Appleby. Sales will initially be in pairs to people from the same household or social bubble, with only window seats available for use.
The loco-hauled train will make three return trips each day, departing Skipton at 0835, 1218 and 1612 and Appleby at 1035, 1438 and 1758.
Tickets must be booked in advance from Rail Charter Services.
