The world-famous Leeds - Settle - Carlisle line travels through some of the most spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

A new Yorkshire Dales Explorer train service will run on Saturdays from 8th June 2024 from Rochdale via Manchester Victoria, Bolton, Blackburn and Clitheroe to Settle, Horton-in-Ribblesdale and Ribblehead. There are several bus-links from the Leeds - Settle - Carlisle line to provide easy access to places in the National Park and neighbouring Forest of Bowland National Landscape:
