Regular bus services in the dales have traditionally been enhanced with additional routes in the Summer months (mainly between Easter and the end of September), most of these running on Sundays and Bank Holidays only, with a few extra buses on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Due to funding cutbacks some traditional summer services will not operate in 2008, but some new facilities will be available, including new Sunday rail-links from Ribblehead Station to Wensleydale on service 807.

Malham Tarn Shuttle service 809 from Ilkley and Skipton to Settle and Malham
Fountains Abbey Shuttle Bus from Ripon
the Wensleydale Vintage Tour Bus from Ripon to Leyburn, Redmire and Hawes
Cumbria Classic Coaches services 569/570 from Ravenstonedale to Hawes and Ribblehead

Nidderdale Rambler 25/26: Pateley Bridge to Upper Nidderdale and Brimham Rocks
Fountains Flyer 802: Leeds to Pateley Bridge, Fountains Abbey, Leyburn and Richmond
Details of any additional seasonal services for Summer 2008 will also appear here when available, in the meantime there are also many all-year bus services in the Dales.

If you live in the Keighley or Skipton area you can catch service 66A. This service from Keighley and Skipton to Grassington continues to run hourly throughout the day on Sundays, leaving Keighley at 0945 and every hour until 1545, returning from Grassington at 1055 and hourly until 1655.
The Cravenlink service between Ilkley, Bolton Abbey, Embsay and Skipton continues every Sunday throughout the Winter, and now has an improved route serving Barden Scale and The Strid. From 23rd March 2008 a new service 884 journey runs from Ilkley to Skipton at 0915, running via Addingham, Bolton Abbey, The Strid, Eastby and Embsay.
The Sunday bus services in Nidderdale (route 24 from Harrogate to Pateley Bridge) and Wensleydale (routes 156/157 from Northallerton and Bedale to Leyburn and Hawes) are now well-established year-round routes so will continue running throughout the Winter.
Service X80 from Preston and Clitheroe to Skipton continues to operate on Sundays throughout the year, connecting with service 66A at Skipton.
