Every Summer Sunday and Bank Holiday DalesBus 822 runs from Pocklington, York, Boroughbridge and Ripon to World Heritage Site Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, continuing through Nidderdale National Landscape and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

This service is operated by double-decker buses to provide more space and great views.
Discover the glorious ruins England’s greatest Cistercian Abbey in its perfect riverside setting, or stroll through the magnificent Water Gardens, a masterpiece of English 18th century design, filled with statues, follies and viewpoints. This superb National Trust property has a visitor centre, café/restaurant and gift shop. Studley Royal’s huge deer park (free admission) contains the hauntingly beautiful St Mary’s Church.
Stay on DalesBus 822 to discover the wonderful Nidderdale National Landscape, calling at Pateley Bridge with its boutique shops, cafes, pubs and the fascinating Nidderdale Museum.
You can continue on a spectacular journey past Coldstones Cut (viewpoint, with refreshments available nearby at Toft Gate Barn), over Greenhow Moor, past Stump Cross Caverns descending into beautiful Upper Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park to Grassington with its National Park Centre, shops, pubs and cobbled square.
Connections are available on DalesBus 72 to Skipton and on DalesBus 876 to the iconic villages of Kettlewell and Buckden, in some of Yorkshire’s finest walking country, and the spectacular journey over to Aysgarth (for famous waterfalls) and Hawes (for Wensleydale Creamery)
