The A684 is now expected to be closed at Constable Burton until 25th March 2026. Wensleydale Flyer bus 856 will not be able to call at Constable Burton and will be diverted via Finghall and Spennithorne. This may cause some minor delays to the service.
All single fares are no more than £3 (£1 for under 19s).
Little White Bus provides Wensleydale Voyager service 156 on Monday to Saturday between Leyburn and Hawes, with connections from Bedale on service 155. See DalesBus 875 and 876 for additional buses between Aysgarth, Bainbridge and Hawes on Summer Sundays and Bank Holidays (from 5th April 2026).
Hawes’s attractions include the wonderful Dales Countryside Museum with the celebrated Hartley-Ingleby collection of lead mining and farming artefacts from the Northern Dales, and Wensleydale Creamery, where the world-famous Wensleydale cheese, rescued from oblivion by the legendary Kit Calvert, is made. There is a visitor centre where you can see cheese being made and a restaurant and shop. Hardraw Force, England’s highest single drop above ground waterfall, is little more than a mile’s easy walk away at the Green Dragon Inn in Hardraw.
