The world-famous Leeds - Settle - Carlisle railway line travels through some of the most spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The Yorkshire Dales Explorer train runs on Saturdays from Rochdale via Manchester Victoria, Bolton, Blackburn and Clitheroe to Settle, Horton-in-Ribblesdale and Ribblehead. Bus-links from the Leeds - Settle - Carlisle line provide easy access to places in the National Park and neighbouring Forest of Bowland National Landscape. Single fares on any of these buses are no more than £3:
