Bus Services from York to the Yorkshire Dales & North York Moors
Enjoy a scenic trip into Yorkshire's beautiful National Parks by bus from York
Every Summer Sunday and Bank Holiday (dates to be confirmed)DalesBus 822 runs from York to Boroughbridge, Skelton-on-Ure (for Newby Hall), Ripon, Fountains Abbey, Pateley Bridge and Grassington. This service is usually operated by a double decker bus giving great views of Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. You can extend your journey from Grassington on DalesBus 875 to visit Aysgarth (for famous waterfalls) or Hawes (for Wensleydale Creamery). Return bus fare is £10 for adults (£18 for any group of up to 2 adults and 3 children), £5 for elderly/disabled bus pass holders and £2 for children/young people (under 19).
Moorsbus M8 runs from York via Malton to Pickering (for North York Moors Railway), Kirkbymoorside, Hutton-le-Hole and Danby, in the North York Moors National Park. Details of Summer 2020 service to be confirmed.
There’s no need to book in advance on any of these buses, tickets are available from the driver, so you can simply turn up and go!
