DalesBus 822 runs from York every Sunday and Bank Holiday from 18th April 2021 to Boroughbridge, Ripon, Fountains Abbey, Pateley Bridge and Grassington. Perfect for walking or sightseeing with great views of Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Eastern DalesBus 825 is expected to run from York to Harrogate, Ripley Castle, Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey, Hackfall, Masham, Jervaulx Abbey, Middleham, Leyburn and Richmond every Sunday and Bank Holiday from 16th May 2021. Coastliner 840 runs from York every day to Whitby, via Malton, Eden Camp, Flamingo Land, Pickering (for North York Moors Railway) and Goathland. In 2018 this route was voted as the "Most Scenic Bus Route in Britain".
It is hoped to resume other Moorsbus services from York in Summer 2021.
There’s no need to book in advance on any of these buses, tickets are available from the driver, so you can simply turn up and go! Pre-booking may however be needed to visit attractions such as Fountains Abbey - please check before travelling.
