The Garsdale Station Shuttle Bus service operated by the Little White Bus has been significantly improved for Summer 2024, providing easy access between the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle railway line and Upper Wensleydale.
On Mondays to Saturdays there are now two additional scheduled return trips between Gayle, Hawes, Hardraw, the Moorcock and Garsdale Station, both connecting with trains to/from both Leeds and Carlisle. The additional journeys run from Gayle at 1140 and 1415, and return from Garsdale Station at 1225 and 1455. There are now a total of six return journeys to/from the station on Mondays to Saturdays all year, with no need to book in advance. On Sundays the Wensleydale Explorer Bus returns for summer 2024 on 21st April, also providing six return journeys between Garsdale Station, the Moorcock and Hawes; with two journeys continuing to Bainbridge, Askrigg, Carperby, Redmire and Castle Bolton. The maximum single fare these buses is just £2, and elderly/disabled bus passes are valid for free travel until 1800 on Monday to Saturday and all day on Sundays. Comments are closed.
