The Lancashire Dalesrail service will resume in a revised format as the Yorkshire Dales Explorer train on 8th June 2024, running on Saturdays from Rochdale via Manchester Victoria, Bolton, Blackburn and Clitheroe to Settle, Horton-in-Ribblesdale and Ribblehead.
Trains will leave Rochdale at 0752 and 1452 every Saturday, returning from Ribblehead at 1108 and 1805. There will be good connections with the Leeds to Carlisle service for those wanting to travel along Mallerstang to Kirkby Stephen as well as to the Eden Valley, Appleby and Carlisle.
